As a leading European steel and aluminum service centre, tk accelis Processing Europe (formerly thyssenkrupp Materials Processing Europe) processes carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum into customised slit strips and blanks.
With many years of expertise in independent procurement, consulting and prefabrication, we as processing specialist provide customers throughout Europe with individual and sustainable supply chain services and digital solutions for flat steel and aluminum. We employ around 1,000 people and, as a service centre network with locations from Spain to Hungary, serve processors from the automotive, construction, electrical or energy sectors.

Foundation of the company Eisen- und Stahlhandel, Mannheim warehouse and renaming in 1987 to Thyssen Schulte GmbH, Stahl-Service-Center Mannheim (now the Mannheim branch).
Internationalization milestones are reached with the integration of a 50% interest in Thyssen Ros Casares in Spain.
A 50% interest is acquired in the Service-Center Radebeul, Saxony, (now the Radebeul branch).
The decisive year: within the former Thyssen AG, Thyssen Stahl-Service-Center GmbH is formed through the merger of the three service centers in Leverkusen, Mannheim and Bochum. An entirely new service provider joins the market with direct access to the experience and expertise of established steel specialists right from the start.
The service center unit of the cold rolling firm Rötzel is integrated (former Breyell branch).
The merger of the flat steel units of Thyssen and Hoesch-Krupp leads to the 100% integration of Radebeul.
A 74.9% interest is acquired in Herzog Coilex GmbH in Stuttgart. Acquisition of the French steel service centers Coste and Laminoirs et Ateliers de Jeumont (now thyssenkrupp Materials France) - the next important expansion step on the Western European market.
The name is changed to ThyssenKrupp Stahl-Service-Center GmbH.
Expansion and reorganization of the Group with additional units in Spain and Portugal.
Consolidation of the West German plants at the new center in Krefeld.
